Fuzhou Hosts Thousands for 14th Straits Youth Day
More than 2,000 young people from across the Taiwan Strait converged in Fuzhou this August for a week-long series of collaborative events. The 14th Straits Youth Day, held from August 3 to 9, focused on deepening social and professional ties through joint projects, cultural exploration, and shared athletic competition.

Beyond cultural exchange, the gathering served as a practical hub for innovation. University students from both sides collaborated on urban-rural development and construction projects, while youth representatives discussed frameworks for long-term economic integration. To sustain these connections, Fuzhou officials unveiled a third wave of policy support, introducing 10 specific measures. These initiatives aim to streamline employment, business startups, and daily integration for Taiwan residents moving to the Fujian capital.
