Josh Goyne, a veteran construction executive with over 25 years of infrastructure experience, assumed the role of CEO at the Roanoke-based firm Branch on August 17. Josh Goyne Takes Helm as CEO of Construction Firm Branch

Goyne brings a deep background in highway, rail, and renewable energy sectors to the Mid-Atlantic firm. His previous leadership roles include serving as Chief Operating Officer of Lane Construction, where he managed a $1.2 billion business unit, and as President of the Heavy Civil Division at Webber. His portfolio also includes tenure at Kiewit Construction and Austin Bridge & Road, providing him with a comprehensive view of construction operations from the ground up.

Branch Chairman Ron Oakley emphasized that Goyne’s selection reflects a need for both field expertise and the ability to manage an employee-owned organizational structure. Goyne, who holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Dallas, intends to focus on scaling the company’s presence across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions. He will oversee the firm’s 1,400 employee-owners, aiming to maintain the company’s reputation for accountability while expanding its reach in heavy civil and design-build services.
