Alex Foxen Targets Third GPI Player of the Year Title
With 4,480.04 points, Americas Cardroom pro Alex Foxen currently tops the 2026 Global Poker Index standings, holding a 158.52-point advantage over second-place Tony Lin. His performance across the tournament circuit has positioned him as a frontrunner for one of the most prestigious honors in professional poker.
His standout results this year include a $1.26 million victory at the Triton Jeju $75,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max event and a $594,246 payday from his fourth World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty. Since joining the Americas Cardroom roster in May alongside Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen, Foxen has maintained a high volume of success, including 14 cashes during the 2026 WSOP. Having previously secured back-to-back GPI titles in 2018 and 2019, Foxen is now hunting a third award, while simultaneously pursuing his first Card Player Player of the Year trophy after five previous top-four finishes.
