Barstool Sports Taps St. Petersburg for New Weekly Football Show
St. Petersburg’s Shear Media Studios has landed a major production contract with Barstool Sports. The digital media giant will utilize the facility’s 5,621-square-foot Studio G to film a new weekly professional football program, marking a significant expansion for the Tampa Bay region’s growing media infrastructure.

Rhonda Shear, founder of the studio, noted that the arrival of a national brand like Barstool signals a shift in the local production landscape. By offering a permanent infrastructure that avoids the need to rebuild workflows for recurring series, the studio aims to draw more high-profile sports media and television work to the Tampa Bay area. The facility currently supports a wide array of projects, including recent work for Quest Diagnostics and National Lampoon-affiliated productions.
