OCVIBE Adds Four Local Culinary Staples to Katella Commons Lineup

OCVIBE, the sprawling 100-acre development near Anaheim’s Honda Center, has unveiled the latest additions to its 2027 market hall, Katella Commons. The 50,000-square-foot dining hub will host four new local operators, bringing the venue’s total count to 21 kitchens focused on diverse Southern California culinary traditions.

The expansion introduces a blend of family-run legacies and specialized craft concepts to the project. Don Churros Gomez, a third-generation business originating from Jalisco, Mexico, will offer its signature thin-style churros. Joining them is MFK | Modern Filipino Kitchen, led by Henry and Panda Pineda, which marks a return to Anaheim for the couple nearly a decade after launching their original concept. The lineup also includes Northern Chinese specialist Chef Guoming “Sam” Xin, known for his hand-pulled noodles at Mojo and Pull & Roll, alongside the long-standing artisan gelato brand Gelato Paradiso.

These partners will join a roster that already includes notable regional chefs and concepts such as Burritos La Palma and Roy Choi’s Best Friend restaurant. According to Anthony Olheiser, senior vice president of hospitality at OCVIBE, the intent is to establish a destination where the culinary offerings reflect the diverse heritage of Orange County. Katella Commons is scheduled to debut in early 2027, serving as a social anchor for the larger mixed-use district that will eventually feature over 35 dining experiences and significant public open space.
