Kroger and Instacart Partner to Bundle Grocery and Pharmacy Deliveries

The integration covers nearly all Kroger-owned banners, including Fred Meyer, Ralphs, and Harris Teeter. By linking the retailer's pharmacy systems with Instacart’s logistics platform, the companies intend to remove the friction of separate trips for essential health and food items. Eligible prescriptions are verified by pharmacy staff before being handed off to an Instacart shopper, who delivers them in tamper-resistant packaging.

To utilize the feature, customers must connect their My Prescriptions accounts to the Kroger website or mobile app. The platform allows users to append groceries to an existing prescription order or add medications to a pending grocery cart. While the delivery process is designed for convenience, Kroger notes that eligibility depends on specific medication types, local regulations, and the delivery address. Boost by Kroger Plus members are eligible for additional perks, including free delivery on qualifying orders and double points.
