Voice AI startup Ringg secures $10 million from Peak XV

Originally founded as the text-to-speech venture DesiVocal, the startup pivoted to enterprise voice agents after finding the costs of training proprietary speech models prohibitive. Today, the company processes 20 million call attempts per month, serving major Indian firms including Flipkart, Practo, Groww, and PolicyBazaar. While early growth focused on routine tasks like loan collections, co-founder Siddharth Tripathi is shifting the platform toward complex workflows, such as healthcare appointment booking and e-commerce cart recovery.

Ringg operates as an orchestration layer, routing tasks across various models to manage costs while building its own speech recognition and generation technology. By targeting Global Capability Centers in India, the firm aims to integrate its automated capacity into the back-office operations of multinational corporations. Rishen Kapoor, a principal at Peak XV, noted that the startup’s origins as a research lab provide the technical depth required to handle end-to-end enterprise workflows. As the competitive landscape in India intensifies with rivals like Sarvam and Bolna, Ringg is expanding its 40-person team to focus on high-value, consistent outcomes for its enterprise clients.
