Fractyl Health Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Disputed Clinical Data

Investors are targeting Fractyl Health with a securities class action following a sharp decline in share price triggered by conflicting clinical data. The lawsuit centers on allegations that the company overstated the efficacy of its Revita treatment while failing to disclose operational failures at a key study site.

Fractyl Health Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Disputed Clinical Data

The litigation, filed by Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, covers shareholders who purchased Fractyl Health (NASDAQ: GUTS) securities between January 13, 2025, and January 29, 2026. Tensions peaked when the company reported that Revita-treated patients faced a 4.5% weight regain at the six-month mark—a stark reversal from the optimistic 2.5% loss reported just months earlier in September 2025. This discrepancy led to a cumulative stock drop of approximately 74.86% from the class-period reference price.

Central to the complaint is the integrity of the REMAIN-1 Midpoint Cohort study. Plaintiffs allege that internal operational deficiencies at one of the six study sites—specifically a lack of robust dietary counseling—compromised the trial results. While the company initially characterized its September findings as groundbreaking and statistically significant, the subsequent disclosure of weight regain and site-specific issues prompted a swift market correction, including a downward revision of Morgan Stanley’s price target from $8.00 to $2.00. Investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff in the Southern District of New York case have until October 20, 2026, to file.
