The new order includes Nvidia’s next-generation Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra architectures. While financial terms remain undisclosed, the scale of the deal—involving millions of advanced processors—suggests a multi-billion dollar commitment. Beyond raw hardware, the agreement integrates Nvidia’s networking technology, CPUs, and robotics platforms into the Amazon Web Services ecosystem.
This expansion arrives as Amazon simultaneously develops its own custom silicon, such as the Trainium AI chip and Graviton CPUs, to reduce reliance on third-party suppliers. Despite these internal efforts, Nvidia remains the primary provider for high-end AI workloads. Nvidia CFO Colette Kress confirmed that the rollout also includes Vera CPUs, intended for deployment across major hyperscalers, alongside an adoption of Nvidia’s full robotics stack for Amazon’s automated warehouses.
