Alleima Secures Longest Supply Commitment in History with Airbus

The deal marks a significant deepening of a relationship that dates back to the inception of the aviation manufacturer. Alleima will continue providing specialized stainless steel and titanium components, which are essential for critical aircraft functions including hydraulic systems, oxygen lines, and fuel systems. By integrating these high-performance alloys, Airbus seeks to reduce overall aircraft weight, a key factor in improving fuel efficiency and operational sustainability.

Carl von Schantz, President of the Tube division, noted that the agreement serves to de-risk critical value chains in an increasingly complex global market. The production process leverages Alleima’s integrated model, with manufacturing spanning facilities in the U.S., Germany, and China, all supported by primary melting operations at the company’s headquarters in Sandviken, Sweden. According to Phil Cherrie, President of BU Specialized, the collaboration highlights the necessity for aerospace manufacturers to secure consistent quality and scalable production capacity from reliable, long-term partners.
