Enterprise intelligence firm fileAI has secured a strategic investment from the SMBC Asia Rising Fund and Singtel Innov8, signaling a shift as Asian corporations transition from AI experimentation to integrated, production-grade workflows. The investment marks a significant step for the Singapore-based company as it aims to solve the problem of fragmented, unstructured enterprise data. By deploying its proprietary fileScout platform, fileAI intends to reduce token costs while automating the reconciliation and validation of records. The technology is designed to feed clean, audit-ready data directly into the core systems used by large-scale organizations in finance, procurement, and compliance.

This move strengthens the startup’s footprint in the Japanese market, building on a previous partnership with JRE Ventures. With backing from SMBC and Singtel, fileAI plans to bolster its local engineering and sales teams, positioning itself to support regional enterprises navigating complex regulatory environments. CEO Christian Schneider noted that the company’s focus remains on moving beyond pilot projects to create reliable, governed AI architectures that function within high-stakes, multi-entity business ecosystems.
