Investors File Class Action Against Insulet Over Product Recalls

A class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts alleges that Insulet Corporation misled shareholders regarding the safety and manufacturing integrity of its Omnipod insulin delivery systems. The litigation seeks to recover damages for investors who purchased stock during a period of recurring device corrections.

Investors File Class Action Against Insulet Over Product Recalls

The complaint, docketed as 26-cv-13062, targets Insulet’s business practices between February 21, 2025, and May 26, 2026. Plaintiffs allege that the company maintained defective manufacturing controls, creating undisclosed risks that its products violated safety regulations. These omissions allegedly rendered the company’s public statements materially false during the class period.

The volatility in Insulet’s share price followed two specific disclosures of voluntary medical device corrections. On March 12, 2026, the company announced an issue with specific lots of its Omnipod 5 Pods, causing the stock to drop 6.88% the following day to $219.84. A second correction announced on May 26, 2026, involving potential insulin under-delivery across multiple product lines, triggered a further 5.07% decline, pushing the share price down to $146.01.

Investors who acquired Insulet securities during the window have until August 31, 2026, to apply for lead plaintiff status. The Pomerantz LLP firm is managing the litigation, focusing on violations of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
