Pork Antitrust Settlements Open Claims for Millions in Payouts

The settlement follows an extensive antitrust lawsuit naming JBS, Clemens, Hormel, Seaboard, Smithfield, Triumph, and Tyson as defendants. Plaintiffs alleged these companies utilized Agri Stats to coordinate production restraints and manage exports to manipulate supply levels. While the court has not issued a ruling on the merits of the allegations, all named defendants have now entered into settlement agreements. The companies continue to deny any wrongdoing.

To qualify for a pro rata cash payment, claimants must have purchased raw pork—specifically bacon, bellies, loins, shoulder, ribs, or pork chops—for personal consumption in one of 24 designated states or the District of Columbia, including California, New York, and Minnesota. Products marketed as organic or antibiotic-free, as well as seasoned or breaded items other than bacon, are excluded from the settlement.

Eligible individuals must submit a valid claim form via OverchargedForPork.com or by mail no later than October 29, 2026. Those who fail to act by this deadline will forfeit their right to a payment and lose the ability to pursue separate litigation against the involved companies. A final fairness hearing is scheduled for December 10, 2026, where the court will review the terms, including proposed attorney fees and litigation expenses.
