Bin Zhao, VP of TCL CSOT, emphasized that the company’s APEX brand is now integrating the X-Intelligence AI model to accelerate R&D cycles. This shift aims to move beyond traditional hardware metrics, focusing instead on user experience and environmental impact. The strategy centers on IJP OLED technology, which the company identifies as a critical pathway for the medium-sized display market due to lower carbon emissions and increased material efficiency.

Ming-Jong Jou, Chief of Technology Planning Center, noted that the global display industry is on track to reach $156 billion by 2030. TCL CSOT has already moved IJP OLED into mass production for professional sectors and is currently collaborating with device manufacturers to bring these panels to laptops and monitors. The showcase in Shanghai featured several technical milestones, including a 28-inch foldable IJP OLED monitor and an 18-inch tandem LTPO foldable notebook display. The company also demonstrated a 0.28-inch Si-Micro LED display capable of 500,000 nits, targeting the next generation of AR/VR hardware.
