Ripple and SettleMint unify digital asset lifecycle for Asian banks

Financial institutions in Asia Pacific now have a singular infrastructure for managing tokenized assets, following a strategic integration between Ripple Custody and SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform. The partnership aims to replace fragmented, multi-vendor setups with a unified, regulated control plane for issuance, custody, and post-launch asset servicing.

The collaboration links Ripple’s institutional-grade custody infrastructure with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform (DALP). By combining these technologies, banks can move away from stitching together disparate tools for compliance, settlement, and asset management. The integrated system is designed to handle the entire lifecycle of tokenized real-world assets within a single, governed environment, addressing the operational complexities that often stall the transition from pilot programs to full production.

Fiona Murray, Ripple’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, noted that regional institutions are increasingly seeking ways to deploy digital assets without the friction of separate governance solutions. SettleMint CEO Adam Popat emphasized that as global capital markets shift on-chain, the integration of custody and lifecycle management into one system is a prerequisite for scale. While the offering has launched in Asia, both companies intend to expand the partnership into other global markets as demand for tokenized financial products grows. This move arrives amid broader industry forecasts, such as a 2026 Boston Consulting Group report, which projects the tokenized asset market could hit $88 trillion by 2035, highlighting a clear imperative for traditional banks to modernize their financial infrastructure.
