PixCell Medical Enters Canadian Market with HemoScreen Hematology Tech

Nearly one in five Canadians live in rural or remote areas, often struggling to access timely diagnostic services. To bridge this gap, Israel-based PixCell Medical has secured a Health Canada Class III license for its HemoScreen analyzer, launching a distribution partnership with Inter Medico to bring lab-quality blood testing nationwide.

PixCell Medical Enters Canadian Market with HemoScreen Hematology Tech

The HemoScreen device aims to decentralize hematology diagnostics by delivering a 5-part differential Complete Blood Count (CBC) from a single drop of blood. By utilizing AI-powered imaging and proprietary Viscoelastic Focusing technology, the system eliminates the need for maintenance, calibration, or liquid waste management. This portability allows oncology centers, community clinics, and remote medical outposts to conduct tests that previously required centralized laboratory infrastructure.

Inter Medico, a firm with over 45 years of experience in the Canadian diagnostic market, will handle the local rollout. CEO Dan Lichtman noted that the partnership was driven by the device's proven ease of implementation in global hospital settings. Dr. Avishay Bransky, CEO and co-founder of PixCell Medical, emphasized that the regulatory approval is a core component of the company’s broader strategy to expand rapid diagnostic access to geographically dispersed patient populations.
