Implantica readies U.S. market launch for RefluxStop

With FDA approval for its RefluxStop device now in hand, Implantica AG is turning its focus toward the American market, where an estimated 78 million people suffer from acid reflux. The company will outline its commercial rollout strategy during a Capital Markets Day gathering in Stockholm on September 9.

The event, scheduled from 14:00 to 16:30 CEST at Sergelkonferensen, brings together company leadership, surgeons, and patients to discuss the clinical trajectory of the implant. Unlike traditional surgical procedures that encircle the esophagus and often lead to swallowing difficulties or bloating, the RefluxStop device aims to restore the lower esophageal sphincter to its natural position without applying restrictive pressure.

Management intends to use the presentation to detail the road ahead for the company’s U.S. expansion. For those unable to attend the session at Mäster Samuelsgatan 42, the proceedings will be broadcast via a live webcast. The meeting marks a pivotal shift for the Liechtenstein-based medtech firm as it transitions from clinical development to large-scale commercial implementation.
