Morrisons Taps Instaleap to Overhaul Grocery Fulfilment

Customers ordering via Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Deliveroo can now expect faster deliveries from Morrisons. The UK supermarket chain has integrated Instaleap’s software to centralize marketplace orders and optimize in-store picking, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional grocery shopping and the speed of modern take-away services.

Morrisons Taps Instaleap to Overhaul Grocery Fulfilment

The partnership consolidates Morrisons' digital operations by funneling diverse marketplace channels into a single management interface. By deploying Instaleap’s picking application, store staff can handle online orders with greater precision, reducing friction for both the retailer and the end consumer. This move addresses the rising expectation for instant, reliable grocery delivery, a segment where efficiency often dictates customer loyalty.

Antonio Nunes, head of Instaleap, noted that meeting demand at scale requires technology tailored specifically for the complexities of grocery retail. For Morrisons, the integration serves as a backend engine to sustain its omnichannel growth. This collaboration marks a significant expansion for Instaleap, which now supports nearly 80 retailers across 30 countries and operates under the umbrella of Instacart following its acquisition in April 2026.
