Trip.Gourmet Expands Global Dining Index and Launches WOW Privileges

The 2027 index spans six continents and 105 cities, categorizing top-tier establishments into Black Diamond, Diamond, and Platinum tiers. Asia-Pacific remains the list’s anchor, accounting for nearly two-thirds of all recognized restaurants. Meanwhile, Europe continues to provide the widest geographic reach, with major hubs like Paris and London leading the charge. Singapore, the host city for the launch, saw three of its venues—Odette, Les Amis, and Restaurant Labyrinth—secure the prestigious Black Diamond rating.

Alongside the rankings, Trip.Gourmet introduced the WOW Privileges programme, which grants Black Diamond members priority access to hard-to-book seats at high-demand restaurants. This is paired with a significant expansion of the company’s booking network, which now covers over 43,600 venues globally. According to Sunny Sun, Vice President of Trip.com Group, the shift reflects a new reality where a single meal is often the primary driver for travel. Internal metrics support this, showing that food-related search interactions lead to deeper platform engagement compared to general travel queries, with specific interest in local specialties climbing by over 700% in the past eight months.
