Abu Dhabi’s international financial centre, ADGM, reported a record-breaking first half of 2026, headlined by a 54% year-on-year surge in assets under management and a total workforce now exceeding 49,000 professionals, signaling the emirate's deepening influence as a primary global hub for capital flows and institutional investment.

The scale of expansion across ADGM reflects a sustained international appetite for Abu Dhabi’s financial ecosystem. With nearly 14,000 active licences now on the books, the centre has effectively transitioned from a regional business hub into a sophisticated global powerhouse. This growth is evidenced by the arrival of major financial institutions including Capital Group, Man Group, and Bain Capital, all of which have recently established or expanded their presence within the jurisdiction.

Asset management remains a core driver of this momentum, with the number of fund managers climbing to 190, a 23% increase over the previous year. These firms collectively oversee more than USD 2.1 trillion in assets, underscoring the trust global investors place in the centre’s regulatory framework. His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of ADGM, noted that the influx of capital and talent validates the emirate's long-term economic vision and its ambition to rank among the world's top five financial centres.

Technological integration is also reshaping the centre’s operational efficiency. ADGM has already deployed 25 AI-driven business functions, reducing manual workloads by over 5,000 staff hours and accelerating internal approval timelines. This digital transformation is supported by a significant AED 400 million investment roadmap extending through 2029. Alongside these advancements, ADGM Courts have seen record activity, with caseloads by July 2026 already surpassing the total figures recorded for the entirety of 2025, further cementing the jurisdiction's reputation for legal reliability.
