Running from September 11 through September 13, the inaugural "Remember. Honor. Climb." event invites members, guests, and local emergency personnel to tackle the distance on StairMaster equipment. The initiative aims to blend physical wellness with collective reflection, with many participating clubs hosting appearances by local firefighters alongside fitness classes and community-focused activities.

LA Fitness Launches Nationwide Memorial Climb for 9/11 Responders
One hundred and ten flights of stairs await participants at select LA Fitness locations this week, as the gym chain marks the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a tribute to the first responders who ascended the World Trade Center towers two decades ago.

Jill Hill, President of Club Operations at Fitness International, described the event as a way to honor the legacy of those who demonstrated extraordinary selflessness. Beyond the physical challenge, the company is extending a complimentary 30-day guest pass to first responders who visit participating clubs during the event window. Participants and the public are also encouraged to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation through a dedicated fundraising portal, ensuring the impact of the memorial extends to the families of those lost in the line of duty.
