The UVeye technology functions like an "MRI for cars," using deep learning to analyze tires, undercarriages, and exteriors with a 96% accuracy rate. Drivers across Michigan now have access to automated vehicle health diagnostics at over 40 locations, as LaFontaine Automotive Group partners with UVeye to launch the world's first statewide network of complimentary, drive-through inspection lanes that utilize advanced computer vision to identify mechanical issues in seconds.
Ryan LaFontaine, CEO of the dealership group, described the move as a long-term investment in customer trust and community safety. For UVeye, the partnership represents a significant scaling of its platform, which already processes over 3 million vehicle scans monthly for major clients including Amazon and General Motors. Amir Hever, CEO and co-founder of UVeye, noted that the goal is to make vehicle health monitoring as routine as personal medical checkups. The scans are available for a variety of use cases, ranging from pre-road trip safety checks to assessing older vehicles or evaluating a car after a collision.
