Pine Ridge Vineyards Marks 30 Years of Its Signature White Blend

The 2025 vintage release coincides with a significant industry recognition, as the estate secures a nomination for American Winery of the Year at the 2026 Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards. This dual recognition arrives during a period of transition and reflection for the Stags Leap District property, which was established by Gary and Nancy Andrus in 1978.

Josh Widaman’s new oversight of the blend is a homecoming of sorts. He first encountered the wine as a harvest intern at Stags' Leap Winery, long before joining the Pine Ridge team. The blend itself relies on the Sacramento Delta fruit, balancing the acidity and structure of Chenin Blanc with the aromatic, stone-fruit profile of Viognier. At a retail price of $16, the wine serves as a cornerstone of the company’s portfolio, emphasizing accessibility alongside a broader commitment to sustainable operations.

Beyond the cellar, the winery is pushing forward with environmental initiatives, including a transition to lightweight 404-gram glass bottles. This shift reflects a wider strategy to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, building on the estate's existing status as a Napa Green Certified producer. These efforts reinforce a legacy that started nearly fifty years ago, bridging the gap between traditional Napa Valley viticulture and modern, eco-conscious production methods.
