The partnership integrates GTC’s catalog—featuring hardware compatible with Globalstar, Iridium, and Inmarsat networks—directly into the infrastructure of one of the world's largest sports retailers. By tapping into Decathlon’s established online presence, GTC aims to reach a broader audience of hikers, cyclists, and sailors who require reliable communication in remote environments where traditional mobile coverage fails.

David Phipps, CEO of NextPlat and managing director of GTC, noted that the move aligns the retailer’s massive global scale with the subsidiary's technical expertise in emergency-safety and navigation gear. For Decathlon, the addition of satellite-enabled products offers a new category of utility for customers tackling expeditions or backcountry travel. Rupert Graham, Decathlon’s marketplace business development manager, described the collaboration as a way to provide essential peace of mind to athletes exploring off-grid locations. GTC, which boasts over 18 years of experience, currently supports more than 70,000 customers worldwide and maintains relationships with major satellite providers including Starlink.
