Endra Unveils AI Power Studio and Acquires Planlabs

A $150 billion global market faces a critical bottleneck: the scarcity of skilled engineers capable of meeting the demands of modern infrastructure. Endra is attempting to solve this with the launch of Power Studio, an agentic AI platform designed to automate complex electrical engineering tasks for large-scale commercial building projects.

Endra Unveils AI Power Studio and Acquires Planlabs

Power Studio replaces the traditional fragmented workflow—where engineers struggle to synchronize data between Revit, Excel, and Navisworks—with a unified environment. By utilizing proprietary "Playbooks," the platform allows firms to codify their specific standards, code interpretations, and calculation methods. According to the company, this automation can reduce the design time for a 500,000-square-foot commercial building from two months to less than a day. The system enables engineers to delegate repetitive routing and unit placement to agents while retaining final sign-off authority at every stage of the process.

To expand its capabilities beyond electrical systems, Endra has acquired the Swiss AI firm Planlabs. The startup, founded by a team of five PhDs specializing in mathematics and computer science, brings advanced geometry and physics engines to the company. This integration will serve as the foundation for a future mechanical engineering module, expected to complement the platform's upcoming plumbing suite. The move is supported by a $50 million Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, signaling a significant push to modernize the workflows of major consultancy firms like AtkinsRéalis and Buro Happold. With data security a primary concern for the sector, Endra maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, emphasizing that it does not train its models on client-provided project data.
