His record includes the conviction of a Chinese energy executive linked to bribery involving United Nations and African leadership, as well as the successful prosecution of Venezuela’s former Treasurer in a multibillion-dollar money laundering scheme. Beyond his courtroom work, he oversaw the $231 million resolution of Fresenius Medical Care’s FCPA violations and an $84 million settlement involving Stericycle.

Former DOJ Prosecutor Paul Hayden Joins AXS Law in Washington
Paul Hayden, a veteran federal prosecutor who secured convictions in major international bribery and money laundering cases, has joined AXS Law as a partner in Washington, D.C. He will spearhead the firm’s practices in global fraud, corruption, and congressional investigations, leveraging his decade of experience within the Department of Justice.
Hayden’s background extends into national security and legislative affairs, having served in the DOJ’s National Security Division and as Associate Deputy General Counsel at the Department of Defense.
