Verkada Expands Physical AI Platform to Logistics and Enterprise Audio
At its VerkadaOne conference in Miami, the San Mateo-based security firm debuted a sweeping suite of hardware and software updates. The expansion moves the company beyond traditional surveillance, integrating fleet management, cloud-controlled audio systems, and Model Context Protocol support into its unified Command platform for over 2,500 attending industry leaders.
Technological integration remains a priority with the introduction of Catalyst, a read-only MCP tool. This allows users to link the Command platform with AI models like Claude or Gemini to generate reports or trigger IT tickets using natural language queries. These software updates, alongside a new 3D digital twin mapping feature and thermal camera series, begin rolling out on October 8, with hardware shipments scheduled through November.
