Bolt and Lucid Motors Target European Robotaxi Market
European mobility platform Bolt plans to deploy at least 25,000 autonomous vehicles built on Lucid Motors’ upcoming mid-size EV architecture. Bolt intends to own and manage the fleet, aiming to reach 100,000 autonomous vehicles on its platform by 2035. Lucid, meanwhile, is still working to bring a robotaxi version of its Gravity SUV to market by late 2026 through existing partnerships with Uber and Nuro. For now, the Lucid-Bolt agreement serves as a development framework rather than a commercial contract, with both parties co-designing a vehicle platform specifically tailored for European road regulations and operational demands.
