Envestnet Upgrades Wealth Data Platform with Dynamic Benchmarking

Envestnet has launched its third technology release of 2026, shifting its Wealth Data Platform away from static industry averages toward dynamic, contextual performance metrics. The update introduces predictive intelligence for asset managers and automated alerts for advisors to identify underperforming portfolios or stagnant accounts requiring immediate attention.

Envestnet Upgrades Wealth Data Platform with Dynamic Benchmarking

The Berwyn-based firm reports significant growth in platform adoption, citing an 82% increase in users and a 31% rise in participating firms compared to the previous year. CEO Chris Todd noted that the transition to segment-based benchmarking allows leadership to move beyond observation and toward actionable strategy, accounting for variations in geography and advisor behavior. By replacing one-size-fits-all metrics with quartile, median, and risk-bucket views, the platform aims to provide more granular visibility into branch and territory performance.

New intelligence features now flag advisor-managed accounts that exhibit persistent underperformance or lack discretionary trading activity for over 12 months. According to Dave Lieberman, Principal Director of Product for Wealth Data Solutions, these tools are designed to surface portfolios that appear passive, allowing advisors to proactively adjust investment strategies. The release also lays the technical groundwork for embedded reporting, intended to consolidate workflows by bringing data insights directly into existing dashboards rather than requiring separate exports.
