Ideal Living Debuts Compact AirDoctor 1500 for Small Room Filtration

Priced at $399, the new AirDoctor 1500 mini tower brings hospital-grade air purification into a sub-10-pound frame, targeting bedrooms, nurseries, and home offices. The device expands the Ideal Living catalog by scaling down the company’s signature filtration technology to fit rooms up to 320 square feet.

The unit features a dual-action system centered on an UltraHEPA filter, which is certified to capture 99.99% of airborne particles as small as 0.003 microns. This is paired with a carbon layer designed to neutralize VOCs, toxic gases, and common household odors. According to Helen Christoni, Chief Business Officer at Ideal Living, the design aims to provide the same performance levels found in the larger 4000 model while accommodating more restrictive living footprints.

Technical specifications include a Clean Air Delivery Rate of 170, with the system cycling air four times hourly in its target coverage area. To minimize maintenance friction, the device incorporates NFC filter detection that automatically tracks the lifespan of the all-in-one cartridge, which requires replacement every six months. For daily use, the purifier relies on integrated sensors that monitor ambient air quality and modulate fan speeds accordingly. At its lowest setting, the unit operates at 35 dB, ensuring it remains unobtrusive in quieter environments like home offices or sleeping quarters.
