New Utility Tool Seeks to Enhance Linesman Safety and Control

Working from a lift bucket requires precision, yet standard equipment often leaves room for improvement. An inventor from Clifford, Ontario, has developed the Ultimate Grip, a modified grip-all stick designed to bolster stability and reduce physical strain for linesmen performing critical electrical infrastructure maintenance.

New Utility Tool Seeks to Enhance Linesman Safety and Control

The patent-pending tool aims to refine how utility workers manipulate equipment during cover-up, grounding, and transformer tasks. By focusing on balance and control, the design seeks to mitigate the inherent hazards of high-altitude electrical work. Its durable construction is intended for daily use by power companies, prioritizing both operator safety and workflow efficiency.

Currently represented by InventHelp, the device is open for licensing or acquisition by manufacturers. The creator has produced a functional prototype and detailed technical specifications, which are available for industry review through the company’s Pittsburgh office.
