Mango Power S Secures UL 3700 Certification for Plug-In Solar

Mango Power has secured UL 3700 certification for its Mango Power S system, marking a significant regulatory milestone for interactive plug-in photovoltaic equipment. The approval bolsters the company’s push into the DIY solar market, providing homeowners with an independently evaluated framework for deploying grid-tied energy systems without traditional, sales-led installation processes.

The certification complements existing credentials for the Mango Power S, including UL 1741, IEEE 1547, and California Energy Commission (CEC) listings. By integrating a 97% CEC-efficient single-stage Cyclo microinverter topology with the 200A Smart Gateway Lite, the system enables homeowners to monitor whole-home energy usage while maintaining a 200ms anti-backflow response. This setup is designed to simplify deployment, allowing users to coordinate generation and consumption through Wi-Fi Mesh connectivity and the company’s dedicated mobile application.

Central to the company’s strategy is a "DIY, not alone" approach, which balances homeowner control with professional support options. The current 120V 1200W kit provides a standardized entry point for smaller projects, while the company prepares a 240V split-phase configuration to address higher generation needs. Through a global partnership with Infineon, Mango Power continues to refine its power-semiconductor and control algorithms to improve thermal performance and conversion efficiency, backed by a 25-year limited microinverter warranty.
