Carestream Unveils STARVIEW Digital Radiography System in Shanghai

The system centers on three core pillars: full digital integration, ease of adoption, and modular growth potential. Designed for clinical environments where workflow efficiency is paramount, STARVIEW supports comprehensive examination management, from initial patient intake to final image review. Its physical architecture includes an 8-inch touchscreen integrated directly into the tube head and a wireless 43 by 43 centimeter detector, with the option to add a second detector to accommodate higher patient volumes.

Felix Zhang, Senior Product Line Manager at Carestream, emphasized that the system provides a tailored approach to modernization rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. With three distinct generator configurations available, the hardware can be adjusted to match existing electrical infrastructure. While the launch marks a significant expansion of Carestream's current DR offerings, the company noted that specific configurations and market availability will vary by region, requiring facilities to consult local representatives for deployment details.
