The proposed facility on Bintan Island is designed to operate as a wholesale colocation campus, targeting hyperscale and AI customers. SOS Limited expects to initiate construction with a 50-megawatt capacity in its first phase. To support these operations, the framework includes provisions for a ten-year, coal-index-linked power pricing model, intended to offer competitive electricity costs within the Singapore–Johor–Riau growth corridor.

SOS Limited Plans 500-Megawatt AI Data Center in Indonesia
SOS Limited has signed a non-binding memorandum to develop a 500-megawatt AI and cloud data center campus in Indonesia’s Galang Batang Special Economic Zone. The project aims to leverage proximity to Singapore to meet rising regional demand, though the venture remains subject to due diligence and definitive financing agreements.

Yandai Wang, Chairman and CEO of SOS Limited, described the initiative as a strategic expansion into digital infrastructure. According to the company, they have already received non-binding interest for approximately 180 megawatts of capacity from various global cloud and AI platforms. While the company maintains a solid financial position with roughly $423 million in shareholders' equity as of late 2025, the project’s realization depends on securing long-term power contracts and navigating the regulatory environment in Indonesia. The company plans to pursue an equity and project-finance structure to fund the development.
