Subway Taps Will Arnett to Voice Consumer Regret in New Ad Campaign

When the urge for a greasy burger or an overpriced smoothie strikes, Subway wants you to hear a different voice in your head. The sandwich chain launched its "Feed Your SUBconscious" platform today, enlisting actor Will Arnett to personify that nagging inner intuition that pushes diners toward better, more affordable lunch decisions.

Subway Taps Will Arnett to Voice Consumer Regret in New Ad Campaign

The campaign features Arnett portraying five distinct characters across a series of broadcast, streaming, and social media spots. These personas serve as the manifestation of a customer's internal monologue, offering irreverent nudges to avoid "afternoon regret" in favor of freshly sliced meats and vegetables. The company intends to roll out these characters gradually, positioning the brand as a superior alternative to the fast-food status quo.

Subway Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Klein noted that the strategy relies on the universal experience of choosing a meal that fails to satisfy. By giving that instinct a face, the brand aims to highlight its value proposition and fresh preparation methods. Arnett, known for his sharp comedic timing, serves as the primary mouthpiece for this "tough love" approach, encouraging customers to prioritize quality without the premium price tag. The initiative arrives as the chain seeks to emphasize its convenience and accessibility to its thousands of U.S. locations.
