North Bethesda-based JOOLA is expanding its reach beyond professional-grade equipment with the debut of the POWER FX, a 16mm foam-core paddle. By incorporating its patented Propulsion Core technology into a more accessible frame, the company aims to provide players of all skill levels with increased power and shot consistency.
Chief Experience Officer Gordon Kaye stated that the design intent focuses on democratizing high-end performance, ensuring that the engineering standards typically reserved for tour professionals remain available to recreational athletes. According to Director of Product Austin Kim, the development process drew on years of internal iteration to balance the inherent performance benefits of foam with the tactile feedback players require. The resulting design seeks to eliminate the trade-off between raw power and court feel.
