Alarum Technologies Faces Securities Class Action After Proxy Network Probe

Investors who held Alarum Technologies Ltd. stock between March 20, 2025, and July 2, 2026, face an October 5, 2026, deadline to seek lead plaintiff status in a federal securities class action. The lawsuit follows allegations that the company misled shareholders regarding its anti-money laundering and regulatory compliance protocols.

Alarum Technologies Faces Securities Class Action After Proxy Network Probe

The complaint filed by Robbins LLP contends that Alarum and its executives concealed illegal activities linked to its subsidiary, NetNut Ltd. According to the filing, NetNut allegedly co-opted residential internet devices without user consent, creating a network that allowed cybercriminals to mask their locations. This activity, plaintiffs argue, significantly escalated the company's legal exposure while rendering previous corporate disclosures regarding business prospects materially false.

Market confidence in the firm evaporated in early July 2026. Following a Reuters report detailing how Google disrupted the NetNut proxy network, Alarum’s stock dropped 20.8%. The decline deepened after Bloomberg revealed an FBI investigation into the unit, with shares falling an additional 51.49% after the company announced a temporary suspension of certain services on July 4. Investors interested in participating in the litigation are not required to serve as lead plaintiff to be eligible for potential recovery, as the firm operates on a contingency fee basis.
