Canton Fair Marks 70th Anniversary with AI-Driven Trade Expansion

Running through November 4, the exhibition will host more than 32,000 enterprises, including 11,000 firms identified as industry champions or specialized innovators. The event highlights a significant industrial pivot, as 64% of participating companies now utilize artificial intelligence and industrial internet solutions. Furthermore, green and new-product offerings have reached record levels, comprising over 49% of the total inventory on display.

Technological integration extends beyond the products themselves into the infrastructure of the fairgrounds. Organizers have deployed 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI-specific features to facilitate navigation. For the first time, attendees can access meter-level booth navigation across all halls, supported by augmented reality displays. This digital overhaul is complemented by an expanded service ecosystem covering ten categories, including logistics, R&D, and cross-border financing.

Zhu Yong, Director General of the China Foreign Trade Centre, noted that the objective is to provide a comprehensive, full-chain service environment for global participants. The event will also feature over 700 product debut events and a dedicated gallery to streamline supplier-buyer connections, supported by seven specialized forums addressing market expansion and risk mitigation.
