To ensure the longevity of the structure, contractor Herc Gradnja utilized Penetron Admix within the massive 6,500-square-meter monolithic concrete roof slab. This crystalline technology integrates directly into the concrete matrix to block moisture, a critical upgrade over traditional surface-applied waterproofing for high-stakes medical environments.

The new 223-bed Trebinje Hospital in the Pridvorci neighborhood has officially transformed regional healthcare, marking the largest infrastructure investment in eastern Herzegovina. Funded by the Republika Srpska government with a $75.4 million budget, the 17,500-square-meter facility aims to eliminate the need for patients to travel to distant urban centers.
Beyond technical specifications, the facility serves a vital role for residents of Trebinje and neighboring areas in Montenegro and Croatia. By centralizing specialized medical services, the hospital addresses long-standing regional gaps in care.
