Treehouse Manchester Expands Into Full-Scale Urban Resort

The transformation centers on the 14th and 15th floors, which now house the restaurant Sister Moon—a collaboration between Chef Sam Grainger and nightlife veterans Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford—alongside the cocktail lounge The Nest and the private, speakeasy-style Hideout. These additions complement the existing ground-floor energy of Pip, the hotel’s established all-day lounge, and the Flix cinema space.

Beyond dining, the property is broadening its lifestyle footprint. Guests can now access covered padel courts via The Pollen Club or utilize a new wood-fired outdoor sauna managed by The Good Sauna Co. The hotel has also added nine premium suites on the 11th and 12th floors, designed with reclaimed woods and patchwork textiles to function as long-stay residential retreats. According to Barry Sternlicht, founder of Starwood Hotels, the goal remains to cultivate a space that prioritizes spontaneous connection and comfort over the traditional hotel experience.
