Circular Genomics and Altoida Partner on Multimodal Alzheimer's Testing

The collaboration targets the current fragmentation in Alzheimer's diagnostics, where patients often face long wait times for specialist-led neuropsychological testing. By pairing Circular Genomics’ CircPath platform—which detects molecular signatures of neurodegeneration—with Altoida’s Digital NeuroMarker technology, the companies hope to create a streamlined workflow. This process would allow patients to complete a 10-minute, self-administered cognitive assessment before confirming results with a blood test.

This approach draws on recent research, including a Nature Medicine study showing that circRNA signatures can predict Alzheimer’s progression years before clinical onset. Simultaneously, Altoida’s platform has demonstrated the ability to detect mild cognitive impairment through brief digital evaluations. The companies plan to launch pilot studies later this year to evaluate this combined workflow in clinical research and frontline care environments.
