ALDI Enters Refrigerated Prepared Meals Market with Budget-Focused Line
With 61% of shoppers prioritizing convenience in their grocery habits, ALDI is launching its first collection of fresh, ready-to-heat meals. The new lineup, which features five single-serve dishes and two family-style options, aims to bridge the gap between restaurant-quality convenience and the grocer's signature low-price model.

Joan Kavanaugh, Vice President of National Buying for ALDI U.S., stated that the company approached the category to address the demand for quality without the typical price premium. Single-serve meals are priced under $8, with family-size offerings capped at $15. The products will begin appearing in select markets this October, with a full nationwide rollout scheduled for January 2027. New additions to the refrigerated section are planned for a monthly release schedule throughout the coming year.
