BetterMynd and Lavender Partner to Expand Student Mental Health Care

With one in three students reporting symptoms of moderate anxiety or depression, the demand for accessible psychiatric support has reached a critical threshold. BetterMynd and Lavender Psychiatry are responding by integrating medication management services directly into the existing BetterMynd therapeutic ecosystem to streamline access for college populations nationwide.

The collaboration connects BetterMynd’s network of 400 clinicians with Lavender’s 150 board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners across 40 states. By embedding psychiatric services—including ADHD treatment and medication management—into the platform, the companies aim to bypass the traditional hurdles of long wait times and fragmented referrals. Virtual appointments are now typically available within one week, offering a scalable extension for campus counseling centers struggling to manage complex caseloads.

Cody Semrau, CEO of BetterMynd, noted that the partnership prioritizes a comprehensive resource model that remains easy for educational institutions to implement. Pritma Dhillon-Chattha, co-founder of Lavender, emphasized that the joint approach treats mental health journeys as unique, allowing for a more seamless transition between therapy and clinical prescription needs. The service is already active at select institutions, with plans to expand across additional campuses throughout 2026.
