Deborah Phillips, executive director of the nonprofit, noted that strategies effective for large health systems often fail in the safety-net context. The playbook seeks to bridge this gap by offering specific governance tools and metrics tailored to the realities of community-based care. The organization plans to host a virtual webinar on September 30, 2026, featuring Dr. Regina Benjamin, the 18th U.S. Surgeon General, to discuss moving from assessment to institutional action.
