Boston-based Rubin Rudman has appointed partner Jessica Demmerly as co-chair of its Trusts & Estates Department, tasking her with managing the firm's expanding practice alongside current co-chair Jennifer Laucirica.
Demmerly brings a specialized focus to the role, with a practice centered on estate planning, elder law, and the complexities of special needs financial management. Her work often involves guiding families through the delicate logistics of long-term care, as well as assisting individuals without close family ties in navigating incapacity and end-of-life planning.
Managing Partner John J. McGivney noted that the department has experienced significant growth over the last three years, positioning it as one of the region's largest. He expects the pairing of Demmerly and Laucirica to leverage their complementary skill sets to maintain high-level client service.
Beyond her internal leadership, Demmerly is a fixture in the legal community, holding past leadership positions with the Boston Bar Association’s Elder & Disability Law Subcommittee. She maintains active memberships with the Boston Estate Planning Council and the national Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Her professional trajectory includes consistent recognition, with recent honors from Best Lawyers in America and Massachusetts Super Lawyers. A graduate of Rutgers Law School and Boston College, she also contributes to Rubin Rudman's internal Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
