The acquisition includes 634 acres of private land and 15 unpatented mining claims. Blue Moon plans to use the Turner site as a satellite "spoke" for its Springer complex in Nevada, where it intends to establish a new 1,800-ton-per-day mill. CEO Christian Kargl-Simard cited the project's logistical proximity to rail infrastructure and potential for VMS-style mineralization as primary drivers for the expansion. The company anticipates the move will unlock synergies with its existing Blue Moon Mine near Mariposa, California.

Blue Moon Metals Acquires Turner Deposit to Expand U.S. Critical Minerals
Blue Moon Metals has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Turner copper-gold VMS deposit in O'Brien, Oregon, from Gold Coast Mining. The deal, valued at approximately $31.7 million in cash and shares, aims to integrate the site into the company’s existing hub-and-spoke production model in the Western United States.

While the project holds a historical mineral resource estimate—including 2.447 million tons of indicated material—the company intends to initiate fresh metallurgical and engineering studies to verify viability before proceeding to a Preliminary Economic Assessment. Permitting for exploration and underground development at the Oregon site is expected to span 12 to 18 months. The transaction, which is subject to TSX-V approval, is slated for completion in November 2026, with additional milestone payments contingent on future permitting and commercial production.
