Tomorrow.Mobility 2026 Focuses on Scalable Urban Transit Solutions

Co-organized by Fira de Barcelona and EIT Urban Mobility, the congress aims to bridge the gap between innovation and municipal reality. Discussions will center on Mobility as a Service (MaaS), the strategic management of curbside space, and the circular economy of electric vehicle battery waste. The program spans three specialized stages, addressing the logistical challenges of designing resilient, integrated systems for next-generation public transport.

Key industry voices will lead the discourse, including Lukas Neckermann of Urban Places Lab, Axel Volkery from the European Commission’s DG MOVE, and Teresa Riesgo Alcaide of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Beyond the stage, the Gran Via venue will host an Innovation Playground and a Startup Zone, featuring exhibitors such as Arrive Group, Kentkart, and Moventis. These areas serve as testing grounds for technologies aiming to disrupt traditional transit models through collaboration and targeted investment.

The congress runs concurrently with the Smart City Expo World Congress, the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit, and the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress. This convergence creates a unified urban innovation hub, drawing a combined crowd of 25,000 participants. By aligning mobility strategies with broader ocean resource management and cybersecurity initiatives, the event attempts to provide a comprehensive look at the interconnected systems required for modern, sustainable city living.
