Coosa Valley Medical Center has become the first healthcare provider to adopt LeoSight’s security and coordination platform, signaling a pivot for the Dallas-based firm. The partnership aims to translate technology originally built for law enforcement into a toolset for hospital safety, incident management, and communication across complex medical facilities.
The integration marks a departure from LeoSight’s traditional public safety focus, moving its unified operational environment into the 193-bed facility in Sylacauga, Alabama. Hospital leadership expects the platform to replace fragmented systems with a centralized interface for tracking personnel, managing workflows, and responding to security incidents in real time.
Glenn Sisk, CEO of Coosa Valley Medical Center, noted that the move is part of a broader shift toward proactive preparation rather than reactive security. By consolidating communication channels and situational data, the center intends to improve accountability for staff, patients, and visitors alike.
For LeoSight, the project serves as a collaborative development bridge. CEO Mark Wood stated that hospitals face many of the same mission-critical challenges as police departments, specifically the need to align disparate teams during high-pressure events. Chris Carden, the company’s business development manager and a former Alabama police chief, will oversee the implementation. The project is designed to serve as a scalable model for other healthcare institutions grappling with rising concerns over workplace violence and emergency preparedness.
