Markem-Imaje Debuts SaaS Tools for GS1 Digital Link Compliance

The new SaaS offerings function as a centralized hub for managing both static and dynamic GS1 Digital Link QR codes. By integrating these tools into production lines, brands can streamline their transition to modern coding standards while simultaneously capturing first-party consumer insights. The platform acts as a single source of truth for packaging data, aiming to reduce operational complexity from the factory floor to the point of sale.

To support the software deployment, Markem-Imaje is providing structured consulting services. These include on-site production environment assessments and gap analysis to ensure manufacturers are technically prepared for the shift. Viktor Hermansson, Global Marketing Director, noted that the objective is to transform QR codes from basic compliance requirements into tools that facilitate supply chain visibility, regulatory transparency, and personalized digital experiences. This approach is intended to provide a clear roadmap for brands navigating the industry-wide move toward connected product ecosystems.
