CRRC Debuts 110-Meter Recyclable Turbine Blade to Curb Waste
In Sheyang, Jiangsu Province, CRRC has completed production of a 110-meter high-performance wind turbine blade capable of recovering over 95% of its key materials. This technical milestone addresses the looming waste crisis in China’s renewable sector, where nearly one million metric tons of blade refuse are expected by 2030.
This development follows a series of circular economy initiatives from the company, including the launch of the TMT82 recyclable thermoset-resin blade in early 2025. To support these materials, CRRC recently deployed a mobile, intelligent processing system. By functioning as a "smart mobile recycling factory," this unit bypasses the logistical hurdles of transporting massive decommissioned components to fixed facilities, allowing for efficient, large-scale processing across various geographic sites.
